Glad to see you refer to yourself as a ULL fan. It is a constant jab to all for you to speak of yourself as UL. or University of Louisiana. It seems to me to be a legal way of taking something that is not yours. There is a history regarding the UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA and it has nothing to do with ULL.

Some days I wish ULM would change its mind and go back to NLU, because then ULL would have to change its name away from UL as well. The law as I read it says that in order for USL to become ULL, someone has to join them in calling themselves UL#. NLU was the partner in that and has done it right, but USL doesnt.
I like to jab at my Lafghanistan friends since they call themselves Louisiana Ragin Cajuns, then I call our friends from Monroe, Louisiana Warhawks.

I didn't even mention this. There are 9 schools in the University of Louisiana System and none of the others try to pull that shite.
But I'm sure it's just a quirk rather than an active attempt to craft a history that they didn't actually have.
Also, its worth mentioning that the success of ULL and LSU as universities (sports aside) are not positively correlated. That's one of the big reasons why ULL does what they do.
Maybe using my Facebook feed as evidence is folly, but ULL fans are the only ones who ever talk shite about LSU as a university and a sports program consistently. "WE'RE THE UNIVERSITY OF LOUISIANA." And then when they get smacked, they pull the "Oh, lil' ol' me? Why you so obsessed with our piddling, insignificant athletic program?" Its nice to have it both ways.
