What's the up side for leaving it on? Because I think we all know what the downside is...

I can't find one situation where leaving the car on directly caused an explosion. Am I wrong?

Nothing is going to happen with modern cars. Nothing.




FWIW, I do it when its super hot or super cold outside. When its 0 degrees and ice covering your car, you'd want the heat to remain on too.

There is no downside. If this were a real problem we'd be having gas station explosions every day in every city in the US.

I always keep it running while fueling. Upside - keep radio on with my spots talk rolling and the door open so I can hear it while I pump.
