This conspiracy crap is just that, especially because you are absolutely incorrect that teams with a second change rarely lose the second game.

First of all, since rematches happen infrequently in college football, it's hard to find useful information on the outcomes, which means you basically made up the RARELY happens thing w/r/t college football.

However rematches happen every year in the NFL, so there is better information on the success rate of the winner/loser of the first game. What that information shows is that in divisional games, when the road team wins the first game, that same team has a 64.5% chance to win the rematch at home.

Insofar as we can compare the NFL to the NCAA, in the LSU/Bama case, LSU as the road team won the first game, with the rematch being a defacto home game in the Superdome. The NFL information suggests LSU had a better chance to win the rematch. If the media conspired to put Bama in the game under the auspices you suggest, then they are stupid and acted contrary to the percentages.

The game is over. But I must say this is one of the dumbest things I've seen written about this "rematch".

Firstly, a defacto home game would have had more than 50% of the fans in favor of the home team in attendance. Secondly, if the game was at Tiger Stadium it would have had tens of thousands of more fans, and would have been a true home game.

When exactly in the NFL do the teams have more than a month to gameplan after coming off a loss?

So much fail. That Bama team was unreal, but no doubt we beat them at LSU at night if we played them 2 weeks after the BCS game.
