The Preserve
The Meridian
Crescent Club Condominiums
All three are on Tulane and like a 5 minute drive from the medical district. I wouldn't walk it though. Those are also not the cheapest places so I have no idea what the desired rent is but those are some nice safe places that are close.
There are others but those are three I am familiar with.
