as with much of new orleans, it can vary widely by block even. ive bought in to the area and am very happy despite my block needing some homes renovated.

new business flooding in - several restaurants opened, the whole foods, a new theater coming on broad, new brewery on the greenspace hopefully.....

as a rental thats not sticking around to benefit from the bounce, id say just go CBD, or uptown depending on budget and lifestyle though, for the most part.
