Because it was senior day and he is from Missouri, that's really probably all there was to it. If this was a bigger game, he wouldn't have started.

Why? You don't see how these players are on a day-to-day basis. Why is it crazy to think he's been much better lately in practice and has been working his arse off enough to deserve one last shot?
