Well I'm from the country (canefields of da berry) and I've never heard of it. I have seen family members take pictures of the deceased in their casket which just seemed weird to me.

The Methodist do. Me and a couple friends stayed all with a good friend because the church wouldn't due to his sinful ways.
It really helped to be honest to grieve over his passing.
