No one's saying boxing is sophisticated. A lot of people are just saying that watching one match that went EXACTLY as everyone expected it to go doesn't qualify someone to label the entire sport and make claims on its current state.

On Reddit, people are talking about rule changes and acting like Mayweather didn't land a punch. It's ridiculous how people watch one event, dislike the outcome, and want to start changing it to suit how they feel about it. The same thing happens with soccer. Someone has no idea what they're watching, gets bored, and decides they know a better way than people who live and breathe something.

I'm in no way a super fan of boxing or an expert, but I've seen enough fights to know that this fight played out the way it did because that's what Mayweather does. It's in no way an representation of boxing as a whole. Defensive masters almost always win in every single sport. That's just a fact.

True. They bought into the hype. One fighter is like 38 the other 36(looks older). Not paying $100 for something that'll last 45min to an hour.

ESPN also duped yall with the hype and domestic abuse talk. Floyd's been known for that..Why all of a sudden it's brought up? To get more people talking, interested
