the SEC as dominant as it was 5 years ago? No, but it's still widely considered the top league in college football.

I don't know what you're asking the how so about?

I mean the SEC rattled off like 10 national championships in a row, of course they aren't as dominant, they've lost 2 now.

This whole rant by Cowherd is aimed directly at Finebaum listeners.

He knows they will react.

But they're still by far and away the premier conference. That is called domination.

I like Cowherd, but that was some trollollolloll shite right there. Making a big to-do about one season's worth of college football bowl games, please. Plus ignoring the great season Dak Prescott had, getting on the Auburn and Texas A&M defense when both of those teams hired top notch coordinators in the off season and talking about how strong Pac 10 recruiting classes were (Alabama was ranked no. 1, Georgia, Tennessee, Auburn and LSU were all in the top 10)

We beat West Virginia in our bowl game

They weren't even involved in this years national championship. It's tough to call yourself far and away the premier conference when you get your arse handed to you in the past bowl season.

The NFL draft is not a good way to justify how good a league is over a 1 year period. If you look over 5 years, there is a trend.

OSU had no 1st rounders last night. Does that mean they don't have an elite roster?

Oh wait, they had that offensive lineman from Texas A&M, he was a 5th year senior. He was recruited when they were in the Big 12. He doesn't count.

This is the type of shite he does all the time and it's why I never take anything he says seriously.

And it's not like the Pac-12 had many more. They had 9 first round picks, the SEC had 7.

And La'el Collins would have gone in the first round if he didn't have that investigation pop up.

Really?

quote:

Pac-12 South has become the best division in college football.

It's champion lost by 38 points in the conference title game and got handled fairly easily by Boise State in a bowl game. A team Ole Miss destroyed.

quote:

Did you see how they did in bowl games?

quote:

Arizona could have (won)

All you need to know about how he is trying to frame the article. It took a rally just to get it to within 8.

quote:

By the way, USC just had a great recruiting class. So did Arizona, so did UCLA.

USC #2
UCLA #11
Arizona #42!!!

Bama #1
LSU #5
AU #9
A&M #11
Ole Miss #17
Miss St #18
Arkansas #23

Just for giggles, Kentucky finished ahead of Arizona.

quote:

Both Mississippi schools had embarassing quarterbacks.

Doesn't even need to be addressed.

quote:

Look at the draft. Look at what NFL GM's are saying.

Pac 12- had 9 guys in the first round. SEC 7, would have been 8 if not for the Collins deal I will pretty much guarantee the SEC will have more guys gone after today and certainly by the end of the draft.

quote:

Oh wait, they had that offensive lineman from Texas A&M, he was a 5th year senior. He was recruited when they were in the Big 12. He doesn't count.

Another example of a horrible attempt to frame his argument a certain way.

quote:

I know that's hard for a guy in Tuscaloosa. It's over. By the way, the Pac-12 not only has nicer places to live: Pacific ocean... but they've got better players now. You're gonna have to deal with that. Sorry. And, Pac-12 also gets Palo Alto, Berkley, L.A. brah, TEMPE! (now using Southern hick voice) You get Starksville!

Totally relevant to the topic Colin.

If you're gonna troll, troll better.

geez, he should at least know who all won their bowls if he is going to go on a rant like this.

and at saying Cedric Ogbuehi (guessing this is the one he means) doesn't count.
