Just because you didn't know who Conley was before the combine doesn't mean other people didn't 
Of course you knew Devin Smith, as he was in prime time many times in the biggest games of the season
UGA was near the bottom of the NCAA in passing offense and Conley still played well. Hard for people to "see it on the field" when the pass game isn't featured
Dt88 and megatron played 6 college seasons combined and came up with 2 1k receiving seasons. These are the best WR in football today. Point is, numbers don't say it all. Scheme has a lot to do with who produces
And there a few WRs I like more than Conley. Smith isn't one
