Hypothetically, would you as a fan take a Football National Championship..

This season In 2015 if you knew LSU had to shut down football for 5 years??
Obviously if the program shut down even for a minute we would never recover especially on recruiting trail and at the pace college football is at today.
In this situation again being a hypothetical situation we would just return to being a Top 5 program in 2021 but no LSU for 5 years.
Would u take that offer for this years Title?
All this bullshite state budget talk had me thinking so I thought I'd ask to see your thoughts.
I would take the Title myself..

state budget has nothing to do with LSU football. The program makes a profit to the point that it donates millions to the university. If you shutdown football for 5 years, the university falls further into the hole.

Such a tough question to answer, but if I had to choose I would say no. being able to see LF7 for another year and the incoming recruits we have for the next few years will be worth it. so I'm taking football for the next 5.

Nice debate topic, however, the football program is self-sustaining, utilizing zero dollars from the State. Furthermore, in times of financial crisis in the state, shutting down the schools' top money-maker is the last thing the University would do. Re-Lax.
