I hope so, but that was up to you. About 1/3 of duck hunters in Louisiana don't buy a license and hunt every year. For you to be selected for the survey, you had to either have a duck license or be HIP registered and reported killing at least 1 duck or goose during the 2013 season. One of the questions on the survey was which of the last 5 years you hunted.

Some states have done "lapsed hunter" surveys intending to get the opinions of those hunters who have quit the sport, and we will probably do that too some day. Because our active duck hunter numbers have nearly doubled since 2005, it's a pretty low priority for us at this time.
