I wonder if Maddon is simply playing the weather right now, like a competent manager should do in Wrigley

I can't see them continuing to lead the league, but I expect you'll still see plenty of SB attempts throughout the year. Rizzo with 6 already is certainly maddon playing the weather and pitchers not expecting it. Really loving the double steals too. We're not billy hamilton wreaking havoc on the basepaths...but doing the best with what we've got. Also...castro was safe last night.

Bryant with a very good heads up play to cutoff the throw from the OF and run-lunge to tag Hart ont hat reviewed play at 3B. He's a smart baseball player.

Lake with a good night, too...

he was. He was in before the tag..... butttt he was totally hosed by the throw, that was all on Walker for missing the tag. I can see why the initial call was out

the replay... idk

He looked safe, but it was close. I can accept that one.

I am, however, waiting for the day when good ole Joe West get a 'safe' call from new York on one of his 'out' calls, and still call the runner safe to save ego. Because, well, Joe West.

Only the Reds have more stolen bases (or attempts or both, can't remember) than the Cubs.

Two double steals in the same inning was sick even though the second was a wild pitch, but they were already running.
