Id call my insurance co of the cost of the fence were greater than my deductible. If not, id go get a chainsaw, stop being a girl, cut the tree up, and fix the fence.

I didn't realize asking for advice was being a girl

I forgot this was the OT and you'd probably be out there as we speak with a dull hatchet and a headlamp because a chainsaw would be too easy.

If you two never talked about the tree, nor was the tree is disarray prior to the storm, it is your responsibility.

You could always politely ask them to help cover your deductible, or if you are building it, to help.

Is it worth it to you to possibly create tension with a neighbor over a wooden fence?
