re: Vet Help! Price seems high

We've had a few bills in that range over the years with our many dogs. We are lucky enough to have an emergency vet pretty close by, but emergency hours aren't cheap. Add on a few nights over there with iv meds and you'll easily hit the $1,000 mark. Can another vet treat our dogs cheaper? Definitely. Would I get the same care? Maybe. Regardless, our dogs seem to have the bigger issues on weekends, holidays, or late at night so we often don't even have a choice but to go there.
