Asik couldnt come in because of the personnel, mainly. I know that has already been said.
But we had Davis on the floor, Anderson, and I believe Cunningham. It's not like we had a bunch of midgets compared to them. Rebounding is an effort thing, and really GSW proved that they wanted it more during that stretch.
It's a microcosm of Williams as a coach. He doesn't get the most out of our players. The same way we lost to too many inferior teams this year. He has trouble getting our guys to play up their ability when the game is in hand, or its a game we should win. Lacking killer instinct, big time.
I know teams make runs, that is just how the NBA is. But with the way we played last night, we should have been able to withstand that run, even if we would have just barely eeked out the win.
Once the game gets compressed into those last 4-5 minutes, coaching really comes thru, and Monty routinely fails. Same thing happened in game 2. All of a sudden our offense turns into an over 40 church league demonstration. When the going gets tough, we look clueless, and that reflects the coach.
