Yes he can. Stallings has one of the best changeups on the team and has used it all season long to get strike 3. It's probably filthier than his fastball.


PM and Dunn fell in love with the fastball last night. They called it every single pitch of his outing.

and every other outing. He doesn't command his changeup nearly as well as his fastball if he did he wouldn't have hitters sitting dead red on his fastball every damn time. They would keep hitters more off balance and throw the changeup early in counts if he could. He pretty much throws a fastball in every hitters count and that's why he has struggled lately

CPM on Stallings in this morning's Advocate:
Stallings most recently blew a save Thursday against Texas A&M. He blew saves against Ole Miss, Kentucky and Alabama as well. Two of those three ended in losses.

“He just has to be a little bit more fine with where he puts those pitches,” Mainieri said. “It’s no secret he doesn’t have the best secondary pitches."
