This is a common issue in this neighborhood. I would say the average suspect in these cases isn't carrying a shot gun. Usually just teens looking for electronics and cash. Although it is pretty brazen to enter peoples cars well before midnight when neighborhoods are still somewhat active.

i can tell you most of Metairie rolls up their sidewalks at night...
