CIVIL WAR: If superheroes were a real thing, would you be pro-reg, or anti-reg?

In the comics, I was totally anti, but in real life, I'd probably be pro.

Just feel like there needs to be ways to hold people accountable.

I like to escape politics and all the chatter.

Since when has the government done any regulation right?

I mean, half of them are probably Hydra.

I'll give you a serious answer

Anti public registration.

Probably anti government too. We should just try to blackmail them into doing our dirty work.

Financially, if there is a fight or what not it isn't their responsibility.

So just ban the scary looking black ones?

Anti.

I don't trust the government in reality. I wouldn't trust it in a fictional world.

Doesn't matter. In real life, they'd become our iron-fisted overlords. Power corrupts and all that.

I mean if my Buick gets totaled in a superfight, I need a name to sue.

It would be pretty disturbing. How would you like to sit next to young Jean Grey in class?

If she could handle it, I can handle it. . .10 minutes of sitting next to me, she'd either need a cigarette. . .or therapy

Anti.
Regardless of what anyone thinks, it's an invasion of privacy at that level and Given the situation, other VILLAINS with real power, it's dangerous. It's going to be dangerous REGARDLESS of what happens.

Think about it like gun laws: Do gun laws work against people who won't pay attention to gun laws? No. Same for registration. Of course Cap would go along if that was the law, but does it do us any good to track someone like Cap? No. The people who the laws would be created for, the villains and the reckless, are not the people that would actually follow the law in the first place.

Registration laws would be pointless. And in the case of Penance/Speedball, that's just wrong place/wrong time for anyone. Where have we seen that recently? Oh I don't, almost every single recent racial cop situation.

Also, I'd stand with Cap in whatever scenario, so there's that.
