The 6-foot-4 Newman is the top uncommitted guard in the Class of 2016. He is considering Kentucky, Kansas, LSU, N.C. State, Ole Miss and Mississippi State. He told SNY.tv last week at the Jordan Classic that he won’t sign an NLI once he chooses a school.
“No, I don’t plan on signing one,” he said. “I just feel like it’s not really a need to sign one, so I don’t want to stress myself about signing.”
Newman, who has also been approached about playing overseas next season, said then he has no timetable on making a decision.
“Whenever it feels right,” he said.

Who cares. If a kid doesn't want to go to LSU I don't see the problem. Why worry. You roll with what you have and let the kid wish he had made a different choice down the road. Tell them good luck and don't let the door hit you in the arse on the way out.
