Lester is rocking a .434 BABIP and a crazy low strand rate. Once his luck evens up he will be fine. His FIP and xFIP are in the 2.80s, 4 full runs under his ERA.

At this point, it is just so early that I don't put much stock into three starts. The data is just noisy and there is basically almost nothing sustainable out there outside of maybe swinging strike rates, but it even may be too early for that to stabilize. In his handful of innings, he has had shite luck and randomness go against him.
This is just me as a Cubs fan wanting to see Lester go out and deal. Even as an established vet, it may be a bit of a monkey on his back.
