Yeah he lied. But it's a pretty understandable situation in my opinion. He was doing what everyone was doing. The media targeted him for being a typical baseball player. Just like Lance, people only care when the best is doing it even thought everyone the best is beating is also doing it.
I think A-Rod and Lance both lied for the same reason. They didn't want to be the honest good guy who went down while all of their competition was praised like they weren't cheating as well.
