Mountain View is pretty pedestrian. Castro st. (Mt. View, not SF 
) is their downtown strip. There's a decent group of restaurants and bars there. Nothing outstanding, IMO. I'd only hang out in Mt. View if I were too overwhelmed by SF.
Dolores Park is awesome, Golden Gate Park is pretty cool. Muir Woods across the Golden Gate are in fact a sight. I was disappointed by the fact that it's all walkways, but it's still beautiful. If you like craft cocktails, check out Local Edition. Just look at Yelp for whatever kind of food you're in the mood for. There's something for everyone.
