Yeah, I feel like the west just has sort of become an arms race, so they did what they needed to do to compete, even if it didn't work out. On paper, it looked like Rondo plus Parsons was a stroke of genius.

I don't know about that. Many Rockets fans here and on other sites were pretty split on Rondo. But those against wanting Rondo were pretty vocal that he would kill the team due to not being able to shoot and requiring the ball to be in his hands.

The same thinking applied to the Mavs. Many people thought the same thing about Rondo needing the ball and that would be bad for the offense. And any defense he could possibly bring would not make up for what he takes away on offense.

Even on paper, many NBA fans did not really like the move.

Both were questionable moves.

I am not a Morey dick rider, but he comes out looking player as hell for not matching on Parsons and getting Ariza, Brewer and Smith with that cash.
