Where are you living? I haven't ever been in NYC long enough to have a go to place. But I've been to several different places.
Beers outside at Tavern on the Green doesn't suck if the weather is nice.

How is their tap selection these days? Back when I lived around the block I pretty much drank whiskey on the rock because I was poor and it got me drunk fastest for cheapest. Would partake in a craft beer every few visits though. Got to be friends with the staff, they were awesome. Doubt any still work there though. NBD since Tuesday. Gonna hold off tonight too. Athens tomorrow for some baseball.
