how does a network not pick him and this show up?
seems like it would kill in ratings if it was like the original

My problem with those shows were that they took advantage of lonely, often slow weirdos and never really protected real teenagers.
i just don't believe that as Internet savvy as teens are these days, they are getting hoodwinked into having sex with 40 year old fat dudes. No 15 year old girl is out there on the net getting seduced by these losers.
They just bait these lonely weirdos and the real teen girls and sometimes boys are not in danger in the real world.

I had to spend the night in jail one night in 2013. I'm sitting in there and realize I'm surrounded by 10-15 well dressed, 40 year old businessmen types. Thought it was a bit weird. Some of them were flipping the frick out about their lives being over. Some of them wouldn't stop declaring how they honest to God didn't do anything and were tricked.
After I was good to go the next morning, I went to my favorite taco joint and happened to look up at a TV they had in the kitchen. All of these guys' mugshots were scrolling across the screen Grady Judd(Polk County, FL) had me livin' it up with a buncha freaks.
Most of the guys got off though. Came out that they didn't have much to do with any underage sex adventures and were sorta tricked by police into saying incriminating stuff about sex while they were just out and about doing whatever they were doing that night.

I remember one episode they caught a 30ish year old dude that was clearly not right in the head. He cried and apologized, went to jail, posted bail, and THEN THEY CAUGHT HIM AGAIN THE NEXT DAY.
Chris Hansen was like “bro, are you serious? You used the same damn chat name”

I enjoy the show, but it is really shady legally.
A lot of those guys that show up at the house end up being acquitted, I believe.
