@BleacherNation Kaplan just said he confirmed with MLBPA, Game 163 does not count toward service time.
So Friday is a real possibility...

Ramirez's MRI doesn't look promising according to reports. There could be DL time and some long-lasting impacts to the bullpen if he's out for a while.
That's a bad enough loss as Ramirez is an outstanding piece to a damn fine bullpen the Cubs have assembled. Justin Grimm has also been out for about a month now.
ETA: I have not seen Iowa's lineup for Game 1 yet. First pitch is 5:00 PM this evening.
