I get the intent here, but developing as a 3 in the FIBA environment will not make him any more ready to play that position in the NBA.
Positions are dying in basketball, mostly due to the heavy FIBA influence; they have no positions overseas.

I don't see him playing the 3 at any level in pro ball. He can improve as a 4.
