The NBA and it's fans would much rather see a Thunder/Westbrook vs the Warriors/Curry series (two NBA MVP frontrunners) than it would AD & the Pelicans. More rating?

Just to show you proof, this was the front page of ESPN.com this morning. A team that doesn't control it's own destiny. Not "Win and You're In" with the Pels LINK

I noticed that too. All the headlines read "OKC Still in the Playoff Hunt" "Westbrook Gets Technical Rescinded and Wills OKC to Victory Over Blazers"

Whatever it is what it is. I Pelieve

It's so obvious. The NBA drools over triple doubles and brushes PER under the rug. Both teams won last night, but who does the NBA on ESPN Twitter account highlight? Russell Westbrook going into "beast mode." No mention of the Pels.

Probably because the brand OKC Thunder makes people think of a contending team with MVP candidates on it, and the brand New Orleans Pelicans makes people think "I can't believe they named a team Pelicans smh". Seriously, I still see it multiple times a day come across my Pelicans twitter search. ESPN.com cares about clicks, and I'm sure they have a mountain of data confirming the bias they show.
