How does the course compare to the Bandon courses or Whistling Straits?

Just seems interesting to have Chambers bay for the U.S. Open, and Whistling Straights for the PGA in the same year.

They play similar... If you can control your drives and keep your putts close, you have a good chance of having a good day. If you miss however, its terrible. A good drive, you have a good chance at par... if you miss, its frustrating.

Chambers has a lot of sand, but the fairways are pretty wide. Its off the fairways that gets tricky. if you miss, the course makes you pay.
