This is easily his best acting performance since at least Innerspace.

Overreaction, yes. But the director definitely needs to get rid of distractions on set.

Dennis is pissed. I was at the same restaurant as him in Austin one time. I kept seeing these idiot people going to his table and interrupting his families dinner.
He looked like he was ready to choke out the next fan that came to his table and asked for a picture, I'd say he was about this mad that night also.

He lost his cool and vented. Good for him. No biggie. I'm sure he'll come back and apologize later.
The only real problem I have with the whole thing is that some shithead decided to air this dirty laundry on the internet, just to embarrass Quaid. If the average internet viewer weren't such a shortsighted numbskull, it would still be no big deal, but as it is, I'm sure Quaid will have to go on some farcical apology tour of the late night talk shows.

The blow me part was hilarious. I love it when people have melt downs like that. They look so dumb.

Dopey Dick.
The set did seem unprofessional FWIW.

I have a friend in Hollywood. He tells me about how actors (even very famous ones) are treated super poorly on set. I'm not saying this rant wasn't childish, but I can't imagine he would have exploded like that if those people didn't really deserve it.

One who drops "F" bombs while on a tirade should not complain about other folks' being unprofessional. DQ's the one who came across as being unprofessional.

I thought it was funny as hell.
And then I gotta look at these frickin zombies...and that fricking baby!

The comments on the video are pretty understanding toward him.
We should be too.
We have no idea about the context, what kind of a screw up the director is, how many times Dennis asked for quiet, or anything else that had gone on beforehand. Maybe this kind of thing had been going on for some time?
We have no problem when a football, basketball, or baseball coach loses it and dresses down a player, an official, or the media. Why are we so offended when Quaid does it? Maybe he is real intense about his craft and is sick of a bunch of special snowflakes wandering around and distracting him while he is trying to do his job and he tried to handle it the right way a dozen other times?
Yeah, he could have handled it better. He should have handled it better. So could Nick Saban during one of his tirades.
