See if you can find a 637-1 (without the external lock).
I had a 637-2 and loved it, but someone made me an offer I couldn't refuse for it and all of the ammo. Great for charming snakes with rat shot, keeping in the bedside table/console/glove box, and carrying around the farm in a small Uncle Mike's holster on the belt.

exactly what i would use it for. I have a glock 42 and a sig p938 that i carry daily.. also have a herritage rough ryder 22 that i absolutely love so i dont really need a ruger single 6. I was looking for something in a 38 or 357 to play with so to speak.
what do you mean with or without side lock? Whats difference? also what is difference in 637-1 and -2?
