Do you know of any other states that do this?

I wonder if after you become licensed in LA, could it still be an issue with registering with other states that currently have reciprocity

I think I'm going to just wait until I have my 4 years. Don't want to run into any issues down the line.

Pretty sure California and a few other western states allow the early taking.. but I don't see myself ever moving out there.

I would assume if I ever moved out of state that I would need to apply for my license through the state board. At that point, I would state my case as best as I could.. explaining that even though I am considered an "early taker," I actually did have 3.5 years experience at the registration deadline.

I would not have taken it this April if I were not eligible under the old rules to take it already.
