One thing I know is you don't bring back a character after three seasons of not even being mentioned if some serious shite was going down.
Lancel knows that he was a cat's paw in Robert's death. Just killing him off won't be enough. Maybe Jaime finds out about him being a stand in. I dunno.
What if he's some kind of warrior monk now?

Ok, so he hasn't been in the show for 3 years? No wonder I couldn't remember him at all

Yeah, he's definitely going to have a role this season otherwise why bring him back..
