1. Tag football really isn't that fun past 5 years old.
2. Head to head impacts happen MAYBE once a weekend throughout the entire EPL schedule. They happen every play in football. Heading is a part of the game, but I've yet to hear of any old soccer players being bothered by it as they advance in years.
3. Saban and Bert talking about slowing down the game for subs in between plays. If you can't play 90 min in soccer you don't play at all. Depending on the country he players will dive, etc. The Spanish and Latin Americans tend to have a flair for the dramatic. You rarely see it in England, Germany and france.
4. He fundamental rules do not change. And any small changes they may make, i. e. goal line tech, etc. have absolutely no effect on the way the game is played whatsoever. I Can name you three rules changes in football in the past year, I can't name three in soccer since I began playing as a kid. And again, certainly none of them have affected the way the game is played.

at one time there were no subs, you could backpass to the keeper's hands, no such thing as red cards, and you needed two defenders ahead of you not to be offside...

cost of the header
RE: your argument about slowing down the game I'd make the point that's not a fair complaint about football unless you also admit that delaying tactics are a common issue in soccer that adversely affect the quality of play.
