Please explain to me how drafting a highly touted QB makes zero sense when your current QB is 36 years old and is an Unrestricted Free Agent after the 2016 season?
I mean shite why not go all the way and get winston if this is the thinking? They'll likely extend brees next year, they got a top 5 center and are committing more to the run game to maximize his strengths. You do realize how good he still is right?
There are better QB Prospects next year they can get without sacrificing assets like that. Or hell get hundley/grayson in the 3rd if that pleases you.
Impact guys>>>>>>backup QB
This would be a terrible move for this franchise

they got a top 5 center
quote:I do, and I also realize that the downturn can happen at any moment, much like with Peyton Manning. I would rather not see the Saints get behind the 8-ball with an aging Drew Brees, and I would rather have a plan established when Brees is gone. Sounds like I am in the minority, but I think that 2016 will be Brees' last with the Saints. If another team wants to drop huge money on him at 38, then more power to them. I just hope that it is not NO.
You do realize how good he still is right?
