I covered that part. What I like people might not like, that's fine. I'm referring to those that never look outside of the bubble that is the mainstream; lack of taste or lack of passion for music?

Lack of passion for music wouldn't equal having poor taste. No matter how you cut it, it's all purely subjective, just as you said in the initial post. Judging someone based on them liking an artist you hate or hating an artist you like is ridiculous.

I think you'd have to define what good music taste is to begin with. Good luck with that.

That doesn't equate to "poor taste." What you said refers to someone who is stubborn and closed-minded.

for me its this. I have no issue admitting i dont listen to music outside the "bubble" That being said i have no interest to. If someone shows me some some non mainstream music that sounds good im all about it. But i dont have the want/feel the need to search for non mainstream stuff. And im happy enough with just what is on the radio.
I dont think it means i have "poor taste in music" i think it just means i have a simple taste in music and im ok with that.
Something that is comparable is hardcore movie people compared to people that just enjoy watching movies.

for me its this. I have no issue admitting i dont listen to music outside the "bubble" That being said i have no interest to. If someone shows me some some non mainstream music that sounds good im all about it. But i dont have the want/feel the need to search for non mainstream stuff.
