I don't know anyone that calls a spinning reel "open faced"

open faced = baitcaster to everyone that I have ever met

I've heard and definitely referred to a baitcast as open faced.
To me though, there are only 3 classifications.
Baitcast, spincast(Zebco), and spinning

Nope.

Salmon's toms are rustled. Lay off the guy, he doesn't wear socks.
But I do agree with him, I don't know anyone who calls a spinning reel an open-faced reel. Growing up you weren't a man until you could cast an open-faced reel and that meant a baitcaster.
