They blast the story of Chris Copeland being stabbed this morning all over their website and this was the subtext to the headline.

quote:

Pacers forward Chris Copeland and two women were stabbed outside a Manhattan nightclub early Wednesday following an argument on the street that also led to the arrest of two Hawks players.

Why would they word it so that it seems like the two Atlanta Hawks players were the ones stabbing people? I mean, is that not what you thought when you first read this?

Those two were arrested for not moving out of the crime scene area as requested by the police.

ESPN is turning into Bleacher Report from 2011 when anyone with an email account could submit a sports story.

No. I read it as they were arrested because of the argument.

No, that actually isn't what I thought because I have the ability to read and comprehend what I just read. That doesn't sound at all like the Hawks players were stabbing people.

No, since they included "also" in the headline.

I also usually read articles instead of trying to glean information from a headline, that's just me though.

I think they deliberately worded it that way so people would be more inclined to click the article.

"Two Atlanta Hawks arrested for being in the way" doesn't interest anyone.

ESPN did me a huge service by updating their site

I gave up watching the garbage they put on TV but out of instinct I would go to their site everyday.. Not anymore though.

Don't you think if the two Hawks players stabbed them, it would have read like this:

Thabo Sefolosha and whoever of the Atlanta Hawks arrested early Wednesday for stabbing Pacers forward Chris Copeland and two women outside a Manhattan nighclub.

You're trying to hard, and dumb.

It would look like the Hawks players did the stabbing if I was a retard. I would also watch ESPN if I were a retard.
