re: Draft "Rumor" about the Saints possibly moving up to 5th

To me it's obvious the Saints are targeting an edge rusher (which also makes me wonder if they will trade Cam Jordan on draft day) and they are getting nervous that there will be an insane run on DE's in the first 12 picks.
Depending on what mock you see, some literally have Fowler, Ray, Beasley, Dupree, and Gregory are all gone by the time we pick.
Now will any of these mocks be right? No. Not a chance as teams will make 1-2 surprise picks and players fall, but the Saints want impact players now.
Which makes me really, really, really wish we hadn't won that meaningless game at the end of the season.

Highly doubt this considering we'd be down to just Galette/Haralson on the edge. We'd get murdered in the run game.

This team is not 1-2 draft picks away from contention. If this is their thinking, they have a funny way going about it. For as much as this team throws the ball, Cooks, Colston, Brandon Coleman and Josh Hill are a piss poor sack of receivers if there ever were any.
