." Coach O believes, and so do I, that to win in college football at the highest level you need a playmaker at QB, a couple of top defensive linemen and a star cover man in the secondary."

Do we have those 4 players on this team?

0 for 4 is the correct answer. But hopefully a few guys emerge this year.

Not if the QBs are expected to line up under center, drop back and throw the ball downfield. It remains to be seen if they are adequate playmakers in the spread formation.

He forgot one thing, you have to have a good running game. Don't care if it comes from the RBs or QBs, or both, you have to be able to run the ball well.

2008
Florida 10th, Oklahoma 20th

2009
Bama 12th

2010
Oregon 4th, Auburn 5th

2011
Bama 16th, LSU 22nd

2012
Bama 16th

2013
Auburn 1st, FSU 28th

2014
tOSU 9th, Oregon 22nd

ND had a decent run game in 2012 (38th 2450 yards 23 TDs). Texas in 2009 had a middle of the pack run game, but they scored 28 TDs on the ground along with 3800 and 29 TDs threw the air. Oh, and they had the #3 ranked defense.
