This thread is full of fail.
It's completely a denominational difference. When I was growing up (1980s), it went like this:
Catholic kids: woke up, received a single chocolate bunny in their basket, and were told to show respect for Jesus by getting ready for church.
Baptist kids: woke up, received a ton of presents from Peter Cottontail overnight--like it was Christmas Day or something (will never forget the Easter that all the Baptist kids on the block were bragging about getting the newly-released "E.T." Atari game among their gifts...it turned out to be a real dud of a game though
).
