I spent ten years in Boulder. It's about as good as it gets. Great weather, lots of free stuff to do outdoors, lots of sports, concerts, ridiculously foodie, farmers markets, great civic pride, bike paths, safe, good schools, etc. The only negative might be the Liberal Preachiness if that kind of stuff bothers you. And it's expensive. But lifestyle-wise/Quality of life-wise it's my favorite spot .

I worked in Denver for those ten years and thought it was great too, but since I'm a Boulder guy-I'll let a Denverite answer that. Denver people love to hate on Boulder and vice versa

Best decision I've ever made was to move to Boulder from BR a couple of years ago. I've never had a problem with any "Liberal Preachiness". We love it here and can't imagine living anywhere else.

Housing prices are pretty ridiculous in Denver. I have a friend who is a realtor there and said the inventory of homes for sale is the lowest it's been in 30 years.

Yeah I never really did either. That's why I said "If that kind of thing bothers you".

Boulder is my second home. I love it intensely. A day hiking Green Mountain/Bear Mountain followed by dinner downtown is pure bliss.
