I have a Nylon 66 as well and the stock is broken completely off at the safety. In good shape otherwise. I can't see spending what they want for a new stock so I'm contemplating making a wooden one from Walnut or something. The gun has no sentimental value to me. Any suggestions on what to do with it?

I've also seen in several forums that Remington will exchange it + $75 for a different model .22 but I've emailed them and they have yet to answer. Anyone know if that is true?
