Cool is fine, it isn't 100 degrees out today, they will be ok in the shade in an ice chest. DO NOT close the lid and suffocate them...

That's what I'm afraid of. I have 40lbs in a medium ice chest, and 20lbs in a smaller one and they look cramped. They already look lethargic but it might just be from being covered with a towel and ice. I just don't know if direct ice contact is better than leaving them out.
