Yep. They focussed so much on the controller that everyone just assumed the black thing in the background was a regular Wii. And to be honest, at first that's what I thought. I thought that the Wii U was just an improved model of the Wii with a new controller. Kind of like the new 3DS models. They shouldn't have named it Wii U either. That was the main source of confusion for a lot of people in my opinion.
