Theres a lot wrong with doing this. Fan support isn't one of them. 

Because it's a novelty to them and the NFL makes a spectacle of it.

When the London Monarchs played in the World League/NFL Europa, they were averaging like 10,000 fans per home game before they finally left.

When the Patriots last played in London, Sky Sports News asked random people on the street for their opinions on Tom Brady and no one knew who the frick he was.

The NFL is grossly overestimating their global appeal with the London talk imo.
