realistically, despite what the OT Workout Gurus will tell ya, it doesn't really matter... you are trying to create a caloric deficit, and whether you run before or after working out, it doesn't significantly contribute to the deficit.... now, your energy level is different... if you tire easily, i'd work out first, because pushing heavy weights (the more important part of this discussion) increases your metabolism for a time after the work out, as opposed to running, which does not...

whatever is realistic... if it were me, i'd stick to a distance rather than a time, as a goal....

however, i'd be doing HIIT, rather than distance type of shite, but that's just me... it's burns more calories, and takes less time, both things i'm all about...
