Footbal, at its core, is about winning individual matchups. This drill shows how good individual players are at doing that.
The rest of the practice would point out flaws for individual players, which other coaches could use to exploit to win individual matchups, as practice is there to work through individual weakness, not just practice plays.
Its not that difficult of a concept. Most of football practice are individual drills. Probably only like 30% is actually dedicated to practing plays, much less their sequence.
This is what we have to go on for spring practice, if you dont like it or dont get much out of it, just dont watch. Nothing wrong with that.
