This not necessarily directed at you Choup, but the pro-bunt people assume that the bunt will be laid down successfully and advance the runners, which is not a given.

Nothing is a given Kim. But you know the bunt is the play there.

Very true. If he wasn't comfortable bunting Deichman, sub a player who may have a better chance. Regardless of who you send to the plate, you've got to try. And most coaches would leave the bunt on in that situation with 2 strikes.

exactly. Assuming he hits into a double play is like me assuming he pops the bunt up, or he bunts it hard at the pitcher and they get the force at 3rd. There's a risk in anything.
